Adidas teamed up with Amsterdam fashion brand Daily Paper and Ajax Club to jointly release the team’s new second away jersey for the 2022-23 season.The new jersey celebrates Amsterdam’s unique street soccer culture and the club’s golden generation, recognizing their impact on Amsterdam’s sense of belonging and shared identity.

The predominantly light gold jersey features smoky watermarks from nine of Amsterdam’s most famous street football stadiums.The red and black vertical stripes and the white club crest and sponsor logo reflect the colors of the city’s flag.Additionally, the design features the red banner of the iconic Ajax home jersey.

The nine street football stadiums in Amsterdam are Balboaplein, Zaandammerplein, A. Nouriplein (formerly Nigel de Jongplein), Louis de Visserplein (Gregory van der Wielplein), Piramide, Henrick de Keijserplein, Joubertplein, Mijehof and Obi/Boni Plein.The jersey vividly interprets the city emblem of Amsterdam into a stunning collar detail, incorporating Ajax and Daily Paper brand elements, the year Amsterdam is named after 1275, Amsterdam’s nicknames Mokum and Damsko and a pan-African color scheme, reflecting the The African heritage of the Daily Paper brand.

The commercial version of the shirt will have the Daily Paper embroidered below the club crest on the jersey and shorts, but the Daily Paper branding and collar details will not appear on the team’s off-field jerseys due to tournament organizer regulations .The jersey is accompanied by black shorts with white details and gold socks with red and black horizontal stripes.

The jersey will be used as the second choice for the European war in the new season, and as the third choice after the home and away jerseys in domestic league and cup matches.
